What a strange film it is. I wish I'd seen it 30/40 years ago so that I could say "well, that hits differently today".
As it is, all I can say is "well that hits strangely today".
All the way through I was thinking "well, that isn't how autism would be presented today"... Until the very final scene. Oh, ok..

Was funny watching the "Peter Sellers corpsing" bit over the closing credits. Reminded me of last week's Last Man Laughing series. Must have been hard to play that "always completely flat" character.... for a funny man.
