I want you to learn about an amazing project in Lebanon, called Buzuruna Juzuruna. The project was initiated together with Syrian refugees that had to learn the lesson that food sovereignty is not an option, but a necessity.

The article is from 2024, during the last war, when Buzuruna Juzuruna used their stored grains and legumes to support solidarity kitchens that were feeding the refugees.

Now in 2026, they are doing the same thing again. But last year they could do so much more. Seedbanks. Food processing. Farmer Field Schools. Agroecological farming techniques. Alphabetization. Culture. Art.

And I have to say that I lost all contempt for my fellow Germans that are still justifying the actions of Israel. Aren't you noticing the mental acrobatics you are doing to ignore the reality in front of your eyes? Aren't you seeing how your actions are enabling this horrible situation? There are no excuses anymore.

Still. It is never to late to say "Sorry, I was wrong. This is wrong. We should not support a genocidal regime, even though they have a narrative of victimization to justify them committing all kinds of atrocities. This is not how peace is achieved. Only death and suffering. And we are complicit."
