In today's WTF Business Costco offerering is this 5 GALLON bucket of 3/16th crinkle cut pickle chips.

Guessing about 3300 chips per bucket that is like 0.009 cents per. What interesting is that there is no benefit other than one stop shopping. I priced a 32 ounce jar of the chips from safeway and it worked out to almost the same cost per chip.

This bit of bulk pickle math has been brought to you by the number 5 and letter G

@cvvhrn that is glorious
@bakachu This is 100% why we eat before go to ANY Costco as it would be oh so easy to bring that sucker home
@cvvhrn totally, i am weak against chips of that flavour and having that amount available in one place would be my undoing...
@cvvhrn Peter Piper Picked a Heck of Pecks of Pickles
@nickgully @cvvhrn Peter Piper Picked A Poke Of Pickled Pigs
@dancingtreefrog @nickgully LOL well, I will double check but I have never seen that. whole goat carcass? Yep and last time there was a whole lamb in a box situation going on
@cvvhrn this is ancient data, from the late '80s and early '90s - way back in the 1900s, but, i worked at price club / costco. we opened early on weekdays to only business card holders. mostly it was people that owned gas stations, liquor stores, and delis. they would buy truckloads of these big container things. you'd see them coming through with half-a-dozen flats stacked to rafters with cigarettes, nacho cheese, sodas, candy, etc. during regular hours you wouldn't see them as much because it'd get too crowded, especially around the damned free sample tables. but if you are buying pickles by the tub, several tubs at a time, then just the time saved in opening the packaging is a win.
