@LaVisch I’m trying a (new?) thing with the cardigan I’m currently working on. I did a provisional cast on where directed to at sleeve separation (number to pickup = number to cast on). The benefit is a really easy “pick up” in a yarn that is awfully splitty with no stitch definition. The only downside so far is the provisional pick up gives me n-1 stitches, so I had to find the likeliest nth pick up spot😅
Otherwise, I usually like the knitted cast on, but I never remember I can use it in this circumstance 🤦🏻‍♀️
