UPDATE on Kukla, for those interested:

Tests reveal she does *not* have Cushing's Syndrome, kidney disease, diabetes or a bladder infection. We're grateful.

The vet thinks she may just have become incontinent with age. We'll be trying out a medication to help with that once it arrives. Hopefully it will help.

Kukla is a very patient sweetheart and doesn't mind wearing doggie diapers to catch the leaks.

Poor dear Kukla! Such a sweetheart.

Our last Joni had spay incontinence (we didn't even know that was a thing) which was kept under control by daily medication. Maybe the medication you're waiting for will have a similar effect. I hope so.

Our old Joni died in 2013, so I don't remember what her medication was. But it was very effective and we never had any problems. I hope yours will be the same! Hugs. To both you and Kukla.

I am seeing this very late, scrolling backwards through my timeline. I'm grateful to you for the update, as I've been wondering.

Hurray that she does not have kidney disease, diabetes, or the other things you mentioned. I hope the medication helps.

Tell Kukla that none of us enjoys getting older and having our bodies betray us, but she is still loved and always will be.

Thank you! It's really not so bad. Doggie diapers are a real blessing, and thankfully she doesn't mind them a bit. But we are hoping the medicine works.
