On this day in 1917, Red Dutton fought at Vimy Ridge. During the battle, he took a shrapnel blast to his right leg. The injury was so severe that doctors considered amputation. Dutton went on to have a Hall of Fame career with the Maroons and Americans 🇨🇦 #Hockey365 #VimyRidge
