Have been exploring Boven Digoel content on #Wikipedia again this week as I'm thinking of getting back into researching it this year. (I expanded the English one a lot a few years ago.) And damn, for something about a Dutch historical crime, the Dutch-language article is pitiful.

Boven-Digoel (strafkamp) - Wikipedia

The only source it cites is De Jong's 1969 book about the Netherlands and WWII, which is OK on its own but definitely insufficient for this topic. And of the three Recommended Readings it suggests the pro-concentration camp book by the camp doctor and NSB (fascist party) activist LJA Schoonheyt!!
The total length of the article is 1/10th as long as, for example, the Dutch-language article about Westerbork transit camp, which actually cites 21st century literature and doesn't recommend any books written by Nazis to learn about the camp

most of the Dutch article about Digoel was written in 2012, so truly a neglected topic!

@carkner

One thing I learned when I was active with the WMF was Israel maintains a government office whose sole purpose is to continuously edit and bias Wikipedia in its own favour. The BoG was well aware of it at the time, but really only the community could address the problem directly.

It has been a period since I was that involved, so I have no idea if things have continued in that manner.

@Amgine I remember there was a scandal about Poland doing similarly under the past government. I think here in the Netherlands case it's more a situation of neglect and general ignorance about the colonial era rather than a coordinated campaign.
