Scored some Ajwa dates and halva yesterday. I'm a huge date fan and the Ajwa cultivar is currently my favorite, like eating fresh caramel. Indigenous to Saudi Arabia, I think, where most of them are grown. And halva was the dessert I'd request on special occasions when I was a kid.
