@johnefrancis yes, you have to follow them, but it was clever to use the tags and let them boost you.
@evan I'm using the notification of the tag account following me, to follow them back. Before that point, they don't always exist, and I'm lazy to search for them.
@evan something is different today than when I started this thread. I no longer get a boost+notification from tags.pub when I post a hashtag, so I don't get an opportunity to easily follow hashtag(a)tags.pub đ¤
@evan it boosted the tags from the head post of the thread. I followed hashtag(a)tags.pub. Even today, I am the "1 follower".
Bruce Elrick@johnefrancis @evan I'm thinking it is borked. I'm only following a few of its tags and cannot recall seeing any boosts, but more importantly any tags I use are ignored by it.
@johnefrancis @evan Well, I stand corrected. Earlier today it didn't do anything to a tag I used, now it boosted all three.

It should get a mention on the https://tags.pub page.
