(B) would see a Trump/Vance endorsement as a reason to vote for Orbán.

It's even worse, as if it could possibly be worse, but as perverse irony goes, JD Vance in Hungary telling people to vote for Putin, when in 1956 Russia rolled into Budapest with tanks to crush their nascent push for democracy killing as many as 3,000 civilians, is the most insane kind of blind hypocrisy you could imagine. Their only crime was protesting for democracy. High caliber bullet scars are memorialized in the downtown area as I recall.
