Note to anyone who buys art from an artist: DO NOT EVER RUN THE ART THROUGH AN AI-PROGRAM! It will change details and destroy the art AND feeds that art into the program to be stolen over and over again!
To do this is to allow the theft of the artist's work.
Sincerely: Artist whose map just got absolutely ruined by AI "filter" and is shared in instagram with all the million mistakes that makes my skills look absolute shit. Plus the theft thing.
I am so so sad.
Update: The client has been contacted, the problem is being handled. Hopefully the post comes down and corrections will be made and I should also get my credit for the unfiltered, unedited, complete map that did not go through any changes. The author claims their PA did it with Canva background remover tool (which uses AI) and did not intend to do harm.
This was against their contract no matter what.
I will need to put this to bed now, because it ruined my day and depleted my energies. (*_*)
Uodate 2: The post IS down, and the author is extremely apologetic for what happened. It really seems that her PA did all this themselves, without input from the author who did not know/notice what had happened close to the eve of her book release.
I do not blame the client for this, she is genuely nice person who did pay me fairly and loved my work. This is also why this whole thing was so confusing.
People make mistakes. Issue has been corrected.
I forgive her. The PA should have learned.

At least she tagged me wrong way so I wont get hate, as the piece is ruined and makes it look like I am the one who made an AI image.

She said she loves the map, and was gushing about it so I really hope she is just ignorant and didn't know or notice how the AI ruined the piece, made me look like someone who uses AI, and has fed the piece into the theft machine...

I hope the case is not deliberate bastardness, but even if it isn't it could have ruined my reputation as an artist - but luckily she did not tag me right, named me wrong, and hopefully nobody will come at me for it.

It's so sad that people don't feel like they need to ask for consent to upload or share pictures anywhere. Be it art or private photos.

And not to defend the idiot, but I don't think your client meant any harm. They probably weren't thinking at all, which of course isn't really better.
Your issue reminds me of the times when everyone first joined Google. I never did, but they got my name and number anyway, merrily handed over by my some of my best friends … who never meant me any harm. They just weren't thinking.

The issue has been cleared. The author, ak.a my client, said her PA did the graphics and she her self did not realize what had happened. The ruined map has been removed and if/when she posts the map again, it will be in its original form without AI "edits".
Apologies have been given in plenty, and I will be credited accordingly. She has learned a lesson, and hopefully the PA has also done so...

@Li @hiisikoloart @emilyenco depends. Online services will generally scrape it for later. Offline services on your personal GPU report nothing to nobody, but they also aren’t generally used by the clueless the way online services are.
Regardless, post-processing someone’s art and then sharing it is pretty appalling behavior.

All I do for now is watermarking, since other artists have told that Nightshade doesn't work anymore. )*: (Plus I have very little spoons, so anything extra to my work flow is, uh, very big hill to climb)
