Y'all, I officially have no idea what in tarnation is actually happening in #Iran. (Not nukes! #TACO instead. Yay.)

The US media is touting this like #USA won, but #Arab and #Farsi reports are telling a story a little more plausible. Those reports say that the Strait will be opened *under IRGC control, for two weeks, using tolls (that's new), with payment in #Chinese #Yuan.

This is the beginning of the end of the petrodollar. And Iran has two weeks to rebuild their missile systems and 14 Billion in Yuan we just gave them to buy oil.

Meanwhile, #Israel says ceasefire doesn't apply to them, and they targeted and destroyed one of the oldest synagogues in the world in Tehran, burying torah scrolls older than those in Jerusalem.

Wrong kind of Jews. Tan / Brown ones. Like the bombing of the Catholic churches in Palestine and Lebanon. Wrong kind of Christians. Not the Crusaders, you see. Don't worship the Golden Calf, preferring the peasant Palestinian.

How is this a "winning"?

There was chatter on some OSINT channels that the IRGC was talking to Iraq telling them that kidnapping women was against Quran prohibition that prohibits any form of injustice or abuse against women (with caveats, but foreign women have a special carve out) (I'm not a scholar of Quran, I am repeating what Muslim friends told me)

In any case, the Iraqi kidnappers released the American journalist. I pray she was unharmed as much as possible. But I tell the story to say that the IRGC did more to release an American than our government did.

@MissConstrue It's "winning" (temporarily) for whoever probably made a big bet on the markets right before Trump crashed them and now gets to cash in as the markets try to recover again.

That's all I got.

Even that is temporary.

@MissConstrue Honestly it kind of seems that way for everyone who's actually paying attention. If we didn't have morals, we could screw over a lot of people, crash a lot of stuff, and wreck our futures for ourselves and everyone else but for a few days we'd all have fuel guzzling yachts that we wouldn't be able to afford to sell afterwards I guess.

@MyricaGale @MissConstrue Fun fact: it turns out there was, indeed, insider trading.

There are claims it was Trump's son, but apparently no one actually knows for sure who it was, so take that with a grain of salt.

They made a big buck with insider-trading on that pre-taco bluster, and knowing the taco would be coming.

But you know what I think? As all dictators Trump has gotten too sure of himself. And the neocons aren’t going to be happy for giving Iran so much. Perhaps they will be the ones to remove him.
