7 Code Editors You Can Use for Vibe Coding on Linux

Want to try vibe coding? Here are the best editors I recommend using on Linux.

It's FOSS
@itsfoss Vibe-coding is bad, but using AI as a tool is not. Just never leave your codebase unattended when using an advanced word prediction algorithm
@itsfoss it's funny how vibe coding let's non-coders create software, but for maximum effect, you still need to be able to be able to read and write code.
@itsfoss Here we go, promoting ai slop again 🙄
@itsfoss at this point I can say you're part of the problem
@itsfoss No. Vibe-coding has and will never benefit the market and society. You are apart of the problem and you should not be advertising something that ruins the industry.

@itsfoss I'm kind of curious
it's the first time I've noticed you sharing articles that are 1 year old
How do you choose which to share? Are you the one writing them? (I'm not super familiar with the itsfoss website and community, but I've figured multiple people are featured on there)

/As to this specific toot, I personally dislike both the idea of vibe coding and the usage of LLM's AI as a whole, but I'm really not here to argue about that
i really just wanna know more about this account/

@itsfoss It would seem that following this account was a mistake...
@itsfoss Vibe coding implies not looking at the code, which is a bad idea. AI programming assistants have improved and are now usable, but they still make plenty of mistakes. As with other generative AI, you need to verify the outputs.
@itsfoss sure. So I can loose my job right? No thanks.
@itsfoss I'll have to rethink my decision to follow this account
