Meanwhile... for anyone wondering &/or caring what comes next in late-nite CBS programming

Non-spoiler: It's funny & can be pithy. Yes, "#comedy is good", although it will not be the same, of course, w/o the #Colbert edge.

Meet Stephen Colbert's Late Show replacement, Byron Allen

After 11 seasons as the host of CBS's The Late Show, Stephen Colbert will be replaced on Thursday, May 21, 2026 by Byron Allen

HELLO!
@drmike Ewww. If the best descriptor for the new host is "billionaire," I'm definitely out.

@monstrodosrtiago

I totally get that ... terrible way to lead.
I must confess, I've accidentally seen the show (comes on immediately after) and been impressed by the cleverness & insightfulness, mixed with humor. I had no idea this was so long-time a show or that there was a billionaire involved.

It does seem ironic (?) that #CBS - who pushed out #Colbert - would be 'replacing him with a billionaire'. But (a) as a researcher into headlines, it's 'biased'
(b) the show is NOT pro- #TrumpVirus
