Hosted at The 519 and organized by the Department of Criminology & Criminology Course Union (CCU), Toronto Metropolitan University, and the Toronto Planning Committee for Refugee Rights Day, the event was an inspiring and empowering experience, that truly recharged our commitment to fighting for the rights of refugees and migrants in precarious situations.

As the panelists reminded us, current threats—such as the announced cuts to refugee healthcare and the passage of Bill C-12—make our continued advocacy more vital than ever.
