oh
no

guess who just got #volunteered / nominated to steer our company #EU #cuberresilienceact #cra response.

This is what "I told you so" for a decade+ gets you. I've been saying to product that
"we should do this."
"we're gonna have to eventually"
"If we ever have to ___ this architecture will implode"
"we have no process to handle ____"
and they never wanted to spend the resources. Well.. now we gotta.
And I have nine mo. to gap analysis and action plan.

we're boned.

I'm being hyperbolic, I know exactly what the #cyber #resiliance #act means, and its - in general - a great idea. Go #EU (now tackle right to repair)
But because we have no #technical #productmanager (only the #customer facing $$-centric ones), we have no advocate for things like proper architecture, sw quality, ease of deployment and maintainability, a LOT of which would have gone quite a ways to helping our #CRA response.
So its SUPER frustrating to have been suggesting... begging we do a bunch of this stuff (which is all good common sense best practice stuff!) for a decade... being ignored (because its not a #revenue feature) ... and now that a legislative act say we have to, it all being made MY problem.

@tezoatlipoca

Sorry for your frustration. Wishing you good luck!
