Presenting the Mississippi River Ring: created by hand tracing historic meander maps with pencil on vellum, then carefully interweaving each river in a painstaking digital process to create the model for casting. The ring is presented in a wooden box, suspended on a rolled up miniature map. We love that this design looks both referential and abstract. It captures the river courses but also looks calligraphic or graffiti-like with a pleasing rhythm of squiggly lines.
