Anyone played #TheQuietYear and can share some insights?
@vdonnut I've played it and enjoyed it. Not sure I have any insights! Anything in particular you're wondering about?
@martin I've listened to some podcasts where people were playing and they had issues with not making notes on some things and projects becoming default action to choose and talking too much about things outside the procedure (at least these were their insights). And I'm wondering whether this is even something to be worried about.
@vdonnut I guess I would say: no game is perfect, but #TheQuietYear is consistently recommended as really good at what it does by a wide range of people so if you're just concerned with whether it's a good game to bring to your group: yes, it is. If it sounds like a theme you're interested in, give it a go!

@vdonnut As to the specific things you raised: we didn't have any problem with making notes. When I played with a group who didn't have a much experience with story games I did end up introducing more than my share of the problems, as that was tricky for them, but we still told a cool story together.

I think I've never encountered anyone who played the game with as little talking as the rules demand, but it's still good for all that!

@martin thank you very much, that's a solid feedback
