I can use #UPI again after a month of breakage. Switching linked bank account to ICICI helped, though Federal bank also started working when I switched back to it again from ICICI later.

So not sure what broke in between. I had to add a non mobile number upi id after switching banks each time.

This is the 100% #FreeSoftware way of using #UPI. No need to install any apps and works on everyphone if you have #Airtel sim.

@praveen I realised to my horror that #NPCI (the banking cartel which operates #UPI) added major restrictions to UPI collect requests last month. No wonder two of the websites I wanted to make payments at refused to support it

But I was able to make a UPI collect request while registering for #ChennaiFOSS a few days back and again today to make my monthly #SIP payment. I wonder what's going on?

Will update on the wiki if I figure out the pattern 🏁

@badrihippo May be they broke something when they deployed these changes? At least for my case. In your case, may be they disabled collect to comply and may be add it back if they can comply with the requirements later? You can try contacting them and give feedback, especially since it is still working on RazorPay. May be each RazorPay customer need to choose the supported payment options?
