Most of us try to fix pain by pushing on it. We use gua sha scraping, foam rollers, hard massage. We think more pressure breaks the tension.
But when you're stressed or inactive too long, your fascia becomes "sticky."
Fascia is the silver wrap that holds your muscles together. Think of it like plastic wrap. When it's healthy, it slides. When it's dry, it acts like glue.
If you push on glued layers, you just press them flatter. It's like squashing a dry sponge. This is why "pushing" can hurt more the next day.
