We departed by car very early at 4:30 and drove to Tschamut, the last village before the road to Operalppass is closed in Winter. There we mounted our Skis and ascended the Piz Cavradi by its north ridge. It was absolutely lonesome up to the summit. The short downhill to the Maighels alpine hut was on enjoyable Sulz.
