Any thoughts on the comparison of the fighter class between #odnd ( #swordandwizardry ) and basic #dnd / #bxdnd ( #OSE )?

The original version has class features / abilities the basic version lacks. Is the latter fighter hit die, weapon and armor proficiency and save only?
