For most of my life, I didn't have long hair. I don't think my experience is unique in that my motivation to wash my hair varies as an inverse polynomial in relation to its length.
All that to say, I don't want to shower today!! 😭 #hair #curls

@ellyxir I believe the same formula tells you how often you need to wash your hair, so it's a win-win situation.

@danilopiazza no, its the population levels of bugs nesting in my hair. once they reach critical mass and start to unionise, that's when i wash my hair and we start the dance all over again. #capitalism

@ellyxir I've had long hair (once nearly to my waist, mostly mid shoulder blades) since early '90s. I usually wash it every 2-3 days. Either it's up in a ponytail or sometimes a hair bag if I'm not washing it in the shower. Comb out with water on non-wash days. If I'm real skanky, it'll go 4 days & then it's kinda nasty & brittle. Laziness is OK!
