If you had wondered whether cats bother hedgehogs, here’s your answer. The cat is a local feral tom and has a reputation as a bit of a bruiser. Well.

Neither bothered by storm Dave.

@helenclayton
Cats generally only interact with hedgehogs once in their lives. :-)

@helenclayton The cat is only pointy in four places. The hedgehog is pointy everywhere.

@helenclayton

"Um, I wanted to check over here anyway, then keep on my nightly path."

@helenclayton they don’t like things running at them, not even mice
@Kierkegaanks no, I’ve witnessed that 😂. Tbf nor do I.
@helenclayton That’s very good. I can vouch for that being the order of things here too 😄
@Sarah111well I just love the hog charge 😂
@helenclayton Hopefully Tom knows: never badger a badger
@helenclayton Hedgehogs can be quite the badasses themselves, of course.
@helenclayton Is Dave the name of the cat, the hedgehog, or the storm? At any rate, it's nice to know that even a feral tom doesn't care to bruise hedgehogs. (You did say he was a bruiser.)
@thepoliticalcat the ridiculously named storm Dave. I think the hedgehog is female, though maybe she wouldn’t mind being called Dave. I don’t think the cat answers to anything.
@helenclayton @thepoliticalcat The cat is evidently Brave Sir Robin, of Monty Python & the Holy Grail fame.
@helenclayton they avoid hedgehogs. Too many parasites says Pueppy. To annoying says Casper

@helenclayton Love it.

Any cats I’ve seen on our camera are generally tiptoeing cautiously past the hutches, maybe being brave enough to give a bit of a sniff from a distance.

@helenclayton Looks like hedgehogs bother cats.
