🚉 Work in progress: never get surprised by a track change again! We’ve silently been tracking platform information, so we can start showing the statistics in the app.

⚠️We’re adding a little warning triangle if the chance of a track change is high, but not sure how urgent this should look. Would this startle you or is it useful?

@chuuchuu because it is no threat that will certainly occur, maybe the shape of the triangle but in green.

Meaning: hey, here is something you would benefit from knowing, but it does not tackle a sure threat. But it may get relevant, therefore we used the triangle.

@chuuchuu I find this useful for when I am travelling with my bike or a lot of luggage. This indicator would make me wait near elevators or other easy ways to spontaneously change platforms.
Instead of waiting directly at the platform part I want to board the train.

Is your idea to capture all warnings in the future at one place? Then an ⚠️ might make sense. Otherwise I might only need a less intrusive icon to indicate the possibility of a track change.

@chuuchuu As it’s just a prediction, I would go with a slightly more “neutral” color, to distinguish it more from actual track changes. Maybe teal or turquoise?

@chuuchuu I would avoid the warning triangle. That suggests something has happened that will disrupt my journey.

For this particular case, I think an icon that more explicitly depicts the type of information would be helpful. Like https://www.flaticon.com/free-icon/track_7186055. Probably in some colour like purple(?), something that's not otherwise used in the UI. Draws enough attention without an "ah crap there goes my day."

@chuuchuu Would a more distinct icon for this information be possible? Like a track with arrows on it?

As it is just a prediction, a yellow exclamation mark seems a bit too much for me here.
