📖 Usage:
Attach to nouns or noun phrases. Means "contrary to" or "against."

💡 Nuance:
Expresses contrast between expectation and reality. More formal than でも or けど.

📝 Examples:
1. 予想に反して、試験は簡単だった。
→ Contrary to expectations, the exam was easy.

2. 親の希望に反して、芸術家になった。
→ Against my parents' wishes, I became an artist.

3. 天気予報に反して、雨が降った。
→ Contrary to the weather forecast, it rained.
