Meant to share this earlier this week. Who can remember the ubiquitous Miracle Whip? 12 ounces! Featured buy at $5.99! Whoda thought that insane price.

When I was little the Moms were buying it because it was so much cheaper. So many of us grew up with it that there is still a demand now. I have a genetic version in the cupboard for those few times I may need to use it in a recipe. Ahhh, that may as well be donated. Ha! #Mayo #MiracleWhip

It has just occurred to me: who cares about a squeeze bottle? I don’t. Glass is recycled. I only look for price by ounce and how it will fit my fridge. Sweet relish I only buy large bottle and fill a re-used small squeeze bottle. The price of relish is astonishingly high now.

Sometimes I stand there in a grocery calculating prices and the best deal. I don’t see many people doing that. It seems maybe only an Old thing. I see most young people just give a quick glance to grab something and take off down the aisle. #Mayo #MiracleWhip

@cobalt123 This is actually one of the reasons I really like Instacart because now I can comparison-shop and I can take as long as I want and I'm not making a human read me a bunch of information and feeling pressure to just choose so I don't inconvenience anyone. I definitely know that Instacart has their issues, but it has really changed my life for the better because I can get such good deals now.
@cobalt123 I like squeeze bottles that I can stand on their tops so the contents are always a quick squeeze away. But they are wasteful in that you can never get everything out of them.
