DanielI think I'm a sucker for colorful games like Mega Man 8 on Sony #PlayStation. IMHO, other Mega Man games aren't quite like this one—it's kinda special to me. I just wish it were a co‑op game; that would be amazing. Our family would love to play it!
✝️Aesthetic Femboy🕊️@EmuPlay MM8! Ive played this one as well on retroarch, both the ps1 and saturn versions but havent gotten very far into it since I'm not that good at the mega man games. The only one ive beaten was mega man 2 on the wily wars for the Sega mega drive and that was such a headache that I never completed another mega man game in my life but I still like the mega man games at heart even if they are hard for me. Is MM8 easier then the other ones before it?

@GlitchGhost just like you I never been 'well' with mega man series, but in my opinion Mega Man 8 is better than the rest in term of easiness, or better 'the lovely design' make me want to play even more...
Xeronarth@EmuPlay I got a soft spot for this one. While it's not my favorite, I still really enjoy coming back to it time and time again. Gimme the Saturn version any day, though!

@EmuPlay @Xeronarth what are the difference between the saturn and the ps1 versions? I thought they were more or less the same but haven't sat down and play it start to finish
@GlitchGhost @EmuPlay Nothing dramatic, but the Saturn version has a slightly different OST that loops properly, different water effects that I think look better, Wood Man and Cut Man fights, an in-game art gallery and sound test.

But why I play on PS1? Because Saturn emulation on Android (especially in DeX mode) like Yaba Sanshiro 2 and Saturn Emu aren't as great as PS1 the Duckstation
✝️ Slowly Going SaneMegaman 8 was really good, aside from the voice acting. The hallmark of a good retro game is "When the tech and game design improved, would they remake this better? If not, it holds up."
It was made in the mid 90s and yet modern advances wouldnt really improve it, not even the graphics. I do hate that sled section at the halfway point though
