I pre-ordered it but didn't get the new Sunn O))) by release date, so I'm jealous of you all who have already been listening to and sung high praises of it.

Actually the same goes to the new Neurosis and Converge as well: I want to wait for the LPs to arrive before I listen to them.

What's my point? Maybe that I'm curious to see which veteran American heavy band is going to fight for their spot on my AOTY list next. 😅 (Having listened to one track from each of the aforementioned albums, I have huge expectations.)

I'm a fan of Sunn O))) too, at least several albums, Life Metal for example; the new one *sounded* super good and Albini-like, but musically a bit boring for me at first listen. Again I discovered that #Nadja has quietly put out new album in October and this sounded much more interesting for me. For some reason I tend to compare Sunn O))) and Nadja, and always be surprised how so few people know such a good band (Nadja, that is; everybody knows Sunn O))))

@svenvabar I totally get that comparison. I like Nadja too but didn't realize they had a new album last year, so thanks for the recommendation!
