Chairman of the CARICOM Reparations Commission Sir Hilary Beckles (vice-chancellor of the University of the West Indies) described the adoption by the 80th UN General Assembly of the Resolution designating the Trafficking of Enslaved Africans as the Gravest Crime Against Humanity, as a “historic, landmark decision.”
