A country led by self-proclaimed "fiscal conservatives," no less. They're throwing our riches away.

^ then you can remind folks that the nondiscretionary still includes $1.5 Trillion for financing past wars, veterans benefits, healthcare costs, maintenance of nuclear weapons (DoE budget not DoD). Because of how debt is structured it’s not entirely possible to say, but I argue that we still haven’t paid off World War 1.
