Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman took this picture of Earth from the Orion spacecraft after completing the translunar injection burn. There are two auroras (top right & bottom left) and zodiacal light (bottom right) is visible as the Earth eclipses the Sun.

@rl_dane @pomarede The first human-taken picture of Earth beyond low Earth orbit in 54 years. Amazing.

Holy crap, I just realized this is the first time we're going to the moon in my lifetime.

I guess I had always thought that the last Apollo mission was a wee bit later in the 70s.
