@jon its so well planned, played out like this it looks so efficient, no wasted movements, so much energy saved to get what we used to fucking cook a mall for - incredible shit man
@lunaticfriki@casdeiro@jon Democracy isn’t rocket science, is it? As far back as 2,500 years ago, people in Athens were chosen by lot to make sensible decisions together with others. Ireland has brought about significant constitutional reforms through lot-based citizens’ assemblies. And take a look at how well the German-speaking Community (Deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft) in East Belgium works.
@lunaticfriki@jon Yes, it could be argued in that way, but that could lead us to think that science, tech, etc. PRODUCES energy, which is a wrong (and dangerous) believe. They can only help you get energy and materials that already exist. But once you deplete them (fossil fuel, uranium...), they are of little use. So, the main (necessary) factor here is energy (without it even if you have materials and technology you cannot extract and transform them).
@lunaticfriki@jon That's absolute nonsense. Humans are using energy since the dawn of the species (like every animal do, by the way), long before math and science were "invented". Without energy there is no life at all, and all life forms need and use it.
@casdeiro@jon science and maths were not invented with Newton... You need to know something to understand that you can use tools etc. It is not nonsense.
