@meoralis which European country has fresh blueberries now?
@[email protected] They're from Spain. German or Polish blueberries are only available in the summer. 🥲
@meoralis Even for Spain it's early ... are you sure they don't come from these plastic farms? I'm living in France, and we have some crazily early fruits from Spain ... but they are all from heated plastic houses. Therefore, I'm surprised.
@[email protected] Quite possibly, they're just from a random supermarket and you don't get much more information than the country of origin. Sadly, my standards are pretty low: I only want them to be from Europe to avoid overseas shipping. If I only ate blueberries handpicked by forest faeries, I'd never get any at all. 🥲
@meoralis My comments should by no means be criticism, but pure curiosity, how it can be possible, because I am starving of fresh fruits on grey days with 5°C, with apples, bananas, and oranges in our shop ... I begrudge you the enjoyment! 🫐
@[email protected] Nah, don’t worry, I know my approach is a bit half-arsed and lazy, and those plastic greenhouses are terrible in so many ways, but I just love blueberries too much. 🫣 The Spanish ones seem to be grown in the Huelva area, so at least they're not from the infamous "mar de plástico" near Almería. 🤔 Though of course, Huelva has their fair share of plastic as well.
Hey, why do you have a photo of me?? 😂
It was after the day in the park when we played fetch! 😂✨
This is proper treat!
