Gabriele ZagoI’m genuinely intrigued by #mistralai both the company and its models and I want to dive deeper into them. However, one frustration I keep encountering is that whenever I advocate for Mistral within the companies I collaborate with, I’m met with pushback. The common response is that Mistral is still far behind SOTA models from #claude and also lags behind newer models from #DeepSeek #Zhipu, and #Minimax. Matthew Martin@signorz @MistralAI @BuyFromEU The companies without a state of the art model are competing by niche. Anthropic doesn't have the best small model (Google gemma does). If I were MistralAI I'd compete on training a model to work better with European languages. I don't have enough personal experience to know where Mistral models do better than Claude/GPT4
