I'm up at an obscene hour working on my gaming PC that i have mounted to my living room wall. Currently rerouting the water cooling loop

Ask me anything, LMAO, including "Why did i think this was a good idea?"

@NaClKnight Why isn't your GPU wet, you're neglecting the poor girl!

Shoutout to the TT wall mount case. Came REAL close to getting one myself =P

@VileLasagna Funny story....

the last time i tried to water cool a GPU i ended up drowning my beloved Covid-era RX 6800XT and the only RGB PSU Corsair ever made. It was... traumatic, cause i loooved that GPU. It hurt me so much i mounted them on my wall like an urn of a loved one's ashes.

This generation None of the water block mfgs took a risk on the AMD 9000 series GPUs so i haven't seen a WB that will fit my 9070 XT

@NaClKnight ffuuck, was the block cracked or something? Also, funny you mention the GPU memorial thing. My A770 which got killed by a power spike and this Radeon Pro which is just way way too old had similar fates =P

@VileLasagna Worse; I got lazy on a leak test and the CPU dripped water down into the vertically mounted GPU. It fried something on the GPU board. I got POST beep errors and visual artifacts from that moment on.

I feel you. Losing expensive ass components is frustrating at the best of times and catastrophic at the worst. Your mounts look clean btw. Good memorial

How'd you illuminate the A770 with it uninstalled?

@NaClKnight It's mostly cause there are no real mounts =P The Arc is just free standing on its own cooler and slot guard and the AMD is tied with a bit of fishing line, That one was slightly fiddly to make sure I got level but I am indeed proud of the final result. Thanks <3

Also, might have to drink one one in honour of your 6800XT later on. I have a Sapphire 6900XT on the gaming rig in the living room. Still going pretty stronk even hooked to the 4K TV

@NaClKnight We do it because we want to, not because we need to. :)
