I do recommend a big pack of skulls. I have the Citadel Skulls pack (which literally has the word 'SKULLS!' printed on the back as a subtitle in case you didn't get the idea) – they are so handy and in hobby terms, very inexpensive...

I am still baffled that in the years since launched, the Citadel Skulls box is STILL the best bang for your buck in the whole hobby when it comes to plastic skulls, but I guess if they were to be THE cheapest source of something it HAD to be skulls (printed might be cheaper if you're OK with resin though, haven't checked)
