Think about this. Having started a war with no planning, the US has discovered that it can't defend its own bases in the Middle East. So it is shifting troops to hotels and other residences where they are shielded by civilians. That's a war crime.

Placing U.S. Troops in Middle East Hotels May Violate Laws of War

U.S. commanders have kept many troops away from bases in the region to protect them from Iran’s ballistic missile attacks.

@gleick
The #rome Statute is the founding treaty of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Its purpose is to prosecute the gravest international crimes: #genocide crimes against humanity and #war crimes.

Neither the #unitedstates , nor #Russia, #israel or #china has ratified it.

No international court means no conviction under the #genevaconvention .

They do not care. They only care about #dictating thier own #truth - to confuse, reflect and controle/bully the whole world.

@mobidic @gleick It just means it has to be done the hard way. Each signatory to the Geneva conventions has a duty and obligation to pursue war crimes in their own national courts fory any other signatory if they are unable or unwilling in their national courts. The ICC streamlines and standardizes this, but universal jurisdiction was always an option in the original Geneva conventions, to which those countries are a signatory.
