A #Ukrainian_Warrior, #Mykola, call sign #Boroda (Beard), was defending a front-line position in #Chasiv_Yar, #Donetsk region. Unable to take the position with infantry, #Russian forces decided to destroy it.
#Boroda ended up trapped under the rubble in a basement - pinned beneath concrete slabs, with a broken arm and leg.
The rescue operation lasted 10 days. Throughout that time, his brothers-in-arms cleared the debris by hand under #Russian shelling. The injured Defender was saved.
#Boroda is now undergoing rehabilitation and plans to return to service. He was awarded the #Order_of_Courage, #3rd Class.
