And if you want to go the scientific route, it seems that boiling may help to concentrate urea -- but do it outside!

Also, fresh urine is best to dillute and use in one's garden... After time, urine changes into ammonia and then would not be good for one's plants!

@ai6yr Maybe not on a small scale, but on a larger scale, it might help to prevent urea shortages in the future. Large-scale agriculture has become too dependent on products that travel long distances. Best to make do with what's available nearby.
