Among the many reasons I utterly despise every sickening minute of car shopping in the US, foremost are the inexplicable nonexistence of the standard 3/5-door hatchback that is found in every other parking space in Europe and the fact that you can only buy cars here in the color palette of mens' funeral suits.

@Vancouvery Alas, I wish I'd got in before the mass media got in on things, because even though I live next to one of the best ports to bring one in, they're no longer the bargain they were.

@Vancouvery Alas, we'll never get anything good from VW again. The fact that they dumped the basic Golf means they've abandoned their mission entirely.
