Sharon Stone martedì 31 marzo a CBS Mornings ha parlato del cinema, della tv e della della ormai iconica scena di “Basic Instinct” che dopo 30 anni continua a turbare: il sensuale accavallamento delle gambe. L’attrice ha affermato che per lei rimane un “mistero” perché quel momento sia ancora così coinvolgente per gli spettatori.
“Non si trattava nemmeno di un intero fotogramma – ha ricordato la Stone -. E così, la gente cercava disperatamente di capirlo. E penso che quell’idea di ‘Oh mio Dio’, questa speranza, questa meraviglia, questo mistero, questo intrigo, questo desiderio ardente, sia ciò su cui si basa tutta la nostra profonda sessualità”.
Poi però ha rivelato: “Spesso, quando in televisione compaiono scene di sesso, mando avanti veloce. Non voglio vederle. Non voglio dover sopportare tutta questa sessualità sfacciata e cruda”.
“Basic Instinct” ha comunque cambiato la vita del’attrice: “Ha sconvolto tutto. Per molti versi, mi sento come se non fossi stata protetta e accudita. E poi, per molti versi, mi sento come se fossi stata punita per il comportamento degli altri”. Stone, era venuta a conoscenza dei tagli fatti in montaggio e della scene di nudo rimaste nella pellicola, solo dopo aver assistito a una proiezione di prova del film. Le conseguenze? L’attrice ha perso la custodia del figlio Roan, che all’epoca aveva solo quattro anni.
“Mio figlio è stato chiamato a testimoniare in tribunale per l’affidamento – ha detto – e gli è stato chiesto se sua madre avesse girato film porno. Voglio dire, cose stranamente inappropriate”. L’attrice ha affermato di essere stata trattata in modo “crudele e scortese”, come se fosse “una persona sciatta e volgare”.
Stone entra a far parte di una delle serie televisive più famose del momento, “Euphoria”, su HBO dal 12 aprile. Nella terza stagione, l’attrice interpreta il capo di Lexi, il personaggio di Maude Apatow, la cui sorella Cassie, interpretata da Sydney Sweeney, diventa una modella di OnlyFans.

“It wasn’t even an entire frame – Stone recalled – and so people desperately tried to understand it. And I think that idea of ‘Oh my God,’ this hope, this wonder, this mystery, this intrigue, this burning desire, is what’s based on all our deep sexuality.”
Then she revealed, “Often, when scenes of sex appear on television, I fast forward. I don’t want to see them. I don’t want to have to endure all this blatant and raw sexuality.”
“Basic Instinct” nevertheless changed the actress’s life: “It turned everything upside down. In many ways, I feel like I wasn't protected and nurtured. And then, in many ways, I feel like I was punished for the behavior of others.” Stone only learned about the cuts made in the editing and the nude scenes that remained in the film after witnessing a test screening. The consequences? The actress lost custody of her son Roan, who was only four years old at the time.
“My son was called to testify in court for custody – she said – and he was asked if my mother had made pornographic films. I mean, things strangely inappropriate.” The actress stated she was treated in a “cruel and impolite” way, as if she were “a crazy and vulgar person.”
Stone is joining one of the most famous television series of the moment, “Euphoria,” on HBO starting April 12th. In the third season, the actress plays the head of Lexi, the character of Maude Apatow, whose sister Cassie, played by Sydney Sweeney, becomes an OnlyFans model.
