IBM has released Granite 4.0 3B Vision, a vision-language model designed specifically for enterprise document data extraction. The model uses a modular LoRA adapter architecture that runs on top of the Granite 4.0 Micro language backbone, allowing enterprises to activate vision capabilities only when needed for tasks like converting charts to code or tables to HTML. The model ranks 3rd among 2-4B parameter models on the VAREX leaderboard for key-value pair extraction.
