I always told my wife Iβd take my midlife dalliance in the form of an Italian motorcycle.
I think she prefers that my midlife hobbies center around #Linux and #SlideRules. π

I'm past midlife, but that doesn't mean I'm past the midlife attractions.
I've a predilection for the #Linux and #SlideRules myself, and an even bigger interest in #Telescopes . But there is something to be said for Italian motorcycles.

Have you considered the amazing world of #amateurradio? So many fiddly bits to play with...
@VintageProject @alexmdunne @stargazersmith @concretedog
I have an #AmateurRadio license, but I have little time or interest for random conversations with random strangers. If they would talk about #SlideRules, #Linux, and Italian motorcycles, it would be more fun!

Plenty of introverted hams about. Digital modes, meteor scatter, E-M-E, even good olβ CW. I have no interest in ragchew or how political it can be.

Maybe just a nice quiet WSPR beacon in the window?
@alexmdunne @NM8A @VintageProject @stargazersmith @concretedog
That DOES seem to fit my temperament and skill set a bit better than a rambling political ragchew.

In my midlife crisis I bought a Japanese bike. Now i have an #AmateurRadio license. My preferred ragchews heard on the air : YL's colonoscopy,

I have a Japanese #Motorcycle and I used to have a Honda trail bike as well. I stopped riding when I moved to a metro area where EACH AND EVERY CAGER is homicidally selfish, entitled, and inattentive. Also, I just donβt heal as quickly as I used toβ¦
Like some others in this thread, I do my motorcycling vicariously now. There ARE days when Iβm driving along a nice two-lane road, and wishing I was on my bike. Sigh.
