There doesn’t seem to be any other similarities other than being set in NYC and the musical contributions of Stephen Schwartz but “Godspell” (1973) and “The Wiz” (1978) always have very similar vibes to me

While “Godspell” (1973) featured members of both the 1971 Original Off-Broadway and Toronto casts only Robin Lamont reprised her role from both. She would later be a part of the 1976 Broadway cast, as well.
