@youen most likely a converter in there. It's recognized as "Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. KT USB Audio" / "KTMicro KT USB Audio Consumer Control"
@bug not only we continue to introduce new standards https://xkcd.com/927/ but they're not getting simpler 😝 I suppose the chip that does USB communication and DAC is inside the USB side of the cable. That's small 😮
And they probably do the same kind of thing for fast charge cables (if I understood correcly, the cable itself must communicate to give its max allowed electrical current)
