Scissors Cut Paper..."Amen" means "let it be." If you are ending a prayer with #amen, you are basically wishing that #god will do what you want.
If that's your idea of how prayer is supposed to work, you're doing it wrong.
God is supposed to know everything, and is not going to grant prayer wishes like a #genie in the sky. Prayer is supposed to help you, the one #praying, to deal with how the world *is* and to help you find the #strength within yourself to do your best at navigating it while living by whatever principles of caring for yourself, your family, your community, and your planet that your god has decreed.
