Israel ought to give thanks to YHWH, for He is good, and His hesed, where covenant loyalty meets steadfast love, endures forever. 

YHWH is the strength, song, and salvation of the Psalmist.  The tents of the righteous are filled with rejoicing and salvation.  YHWH's right hand is exalted and does valiantly; the Psalmist will live and declare YHWH's works. 

The Psalmist wanted YHWH to open the gates of righteousness to enter them.

The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; YHWH has done it, and it is marvelous.  YHWH has made today, and His people will rejoice and be glad in it.
