As a #pagan, #abrahamic religions confound me. I just watched a video of an observant #Jewish person putting boiling water and an iron on their granite countertops to "clean it". Bro, you shouldn't do that. It will crack and you're home warranty won't cover it. "It's gods law" yeah, well, is God going to pay your raised premiums? There is no pagan orthodoxy or rules because life is not orthodox or has definite rules. Those are man's rules. Not natures or by extension the Gods nor are things b&w.
@praetor well, traditions can be impractical and sometimes even harmful.
@nlupo it seems like, if you have a god that makes you do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around to please it....that's probably not the healtiest relationship there is. My gods command common sense and wisdom. Some things are good ideas simply because they are. Be a friend to your friend, but not to your friend's foe. Return gift for gift. All good ideas. They don't care how you clean your countertops.
