> 5,000 council seats up for grabs on 7 May, with elections spanning all 32 London borough councils, 32 metropolitan boroughs, 18 unitary authorities, six county councils, 48 district councils and six directly elected mayors in England.

Several of the district councils have a system of rolling elections on a 4 year cycle. One year of County councilor only, and then three years of 1/3 of councillors being (re)elected.

Wales Senedd is PR. Scotland is partially PR and partially FPTP.
